Real Estate Paralegal
Washington DC
M-F 8am-5pm
$46/hr

Main Responsibilities

• Assist with real estate transactions such as:
  • Property sales and purchases
  • Leases
  • Mortgage financing
• Review title reports, surveys, and property documents.
• Prepare and edit legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and closing paperwork.
• Conduct due diligence and gather information needed for transactions.
• Coordinate pre-closing and post-closing activities.
• Perform legal and online research.
• Record documents with local registry or recorder offices.
• Draft letters, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, and other parties by phone, email, and in writing.
• Track and enter billable time daily.
• Assist with other legal and administrative tasks as needed.

Skills Needed

• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Comfortable working under pressure and handling last-minute deadlines.
• Flexible with occasional overtime, early mornings, evenings, or weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
• Approximately 5 years of commercial real estate paralegal or transaction coordination experience.
• Experience reviewing titles, surveys, due diligence materials, and closing documents.
• Familiarity with commercial real estate closings from beginning to end.
• Willingness to travel occasionally if needed.

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
