Project Safety Coordinator Portage, MI, US Job Overview Experience: Mid Level Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year Job Details The Project Safety Coordinator will support safety initiatives in industrial and construction project environments, with primary responsibilities focused on field operations in the Kalamazoo/Portage area. This individual will work closely with field leadership, project management, subcontractors, and operations teams to help maintain a safe, compliant, and proactive work environment. Responsibilities Conduct routine project and jobsite safety inspections Support OSHA compliance and company safety initiatives Develop and maintain site‑specific safety documentation Deliver project orientations and safety training Investigate incidents and support corrective action plans Track safety metrics, reporting, and compliance records Partner closely with field crews, subcontractors, and leadership teams Support hazard assessments, JSAs, and safety planning efforts Help reinforce a strong culture of safety accountability throughout operations What We’re Looking For Construction, industrial, manufacturing, or field safety experience Strong communication and relationship‑building skills Comfortable working onsite and visible in operations Organized with strong documentation and follow‑through abilities Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams OSHA knowledge and understanding of safety compliance standards Positive, adaptable, team‑oriented personality A bit about us One of those rare safety opportunities where culture, stability, and leadership actually matter.
