Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Pay: $65,000 annually

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Schedule: 100% in office

firstPRO is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity with our client. This role will process approximately 400 invoices per month and support accurate, timely vendor payments. The ideal candidate has solid AP experience with purchase orders and a large ERP system. Strong attention to detail and a results-driven approach are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Process check requests and expense reports.
• Schedule vendor payments and follow up on outstanding credits.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and complete monthly reconciliations.
• Audit and process credit card bills.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare monthly reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve the AP process.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of accounts payable experience.
• Experience processing purchase order invoices.
• Experience using a large ERP system.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma required. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Purchasing card (P-card) processing and reconciliation.
