Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable SpecialistThe purpose of the Accounts Payable Specialist is to process accounts payable invoices and payments in a high-volume environment.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview, research and process vendor invoices for prompt and accurate payments to include weekly disbursement.Reconcile vendor statements and collect credit balances; modify invoices as neededResearch and resolve vendor issues and internal receiving problemsCode payable invoices with the correct general ledger account and prepare manual GL corrections as neededReview source documents for proper approvals and sales/use taxesReview payment batch and print AP checksProvide phone coverage as scheduled/neededUpload invoices into AP document storage system.Work overtime as assignedMaintain regular, punctual and reliable physical attendanceWork cooperatively with othersComply with all company policies and proceduresPosition requires regular physical attendance at meetings held at corporate officeAll the tasks described in these Job Duties and Responsibilities are the essential functions of this job.
