About Us:

We work closely with our customers to create unique flavor elements to ice cream bases and yogurt preps. Many of our ingredients end up in easily recognizable brands on the store shelf as we produce for both international corporations as well as smaller, local brands. Our Research and Development is done in-house so we get to witness the whole process from ideation to creation. We support regional trade organizations, source locally when appropriate and help to bring healthy food to people's tables.

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Job Summary: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory accuracy and traceability for a fast-paced food manufacturing company through accurate transactions and regular audits.

Essential Functions:

  1. Reviews Production Work Orders (WO) for completeness and accuracy
  2. Oversees input WO into ERP system in timeline set by management
  3. Identifies WO errors and research source; communicate and report errors
  4. Oversees complete all system workflows in timeline set by management
  5. Oversees transact inventory adjustments
  6. Creates and maintains inventory cycle count process
  7. Perform traceability activities to support food safety program
  8. Performs audits of accurate BOM creation (new and revisions)
  9. Act as primary back-up to Logistics Coordinator in all inventory transaction and inventory receiving activities
  10. Maintains expired finish product workflows
  11. Review safety stock on finished goods
  12. Makes applicable edits to item cards

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required. Some college coursework preferred
  2. 2+ years administrative experience
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office
  5. Inventory management experience preferred
  6. ERP experience preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Factors:

  1. Must be able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
  2. Worker may be exposed to hazards in the workplace such as proximity to equipment conducting extreme heat, moving parts, and electrical current
  3. Must be able to work in environment containing allergens (nuts, milk, wheat, etc.)
  4. Worker may be exposed to a loud working environment.
  5. Occasionally required to lift / push / pull / carry weight up to 50 lbs.
  6. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
  7. Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  8. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
