Our client, a small, client-focused law firm in Milwaukee is looking to add an estate planning attorney to their team. They are dedicated to helping individuals and families protect their assets, plan for the future, and navigate the probate process with confidence. Position Overview

The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of estate planning matters from initial client consultation through document execution, with opportunities to grow into probate administration and trust litigation support as the practice expands.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to assess estate planning needs and goals
• Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
• Advise clients on estate and gift tax planning strategies
• Guide clients through trust funding and asset titling
• Assist with probate administration and trust administration matters
• Review and update existing estate plans for current clients
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with Wisconsin probate and trust law

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Wisconsin (in good standing)
• 2+ years of experience in estate planning, probate, or trust administration preferred (candidates with strong related experience will be considered)
• Strong working knowledge of Wisconsin probate, trust, and marital property law
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain language
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Comfortable working independently and managing a caseload with minimal oversight
• A genuine interest in client service and a client-first approach to practicing law
