By grounding decisions in a deep understanding of customers and the evolving marketplace, As Director Market Research, Integrated Insights you will help guide business priorities, shape brand and portfolio strategies, and enable teams to act with greater clarity, confidence, and impact.The Director Market Research, Integrated Insights role will be based in Foster City, CA and will report to the Sr Director, Marketing Sciences.As the Director, Market Research Integrated Insights at Gilead you will:Partner with key stakeholders to design and execute market research that directly informs strategy and drives growth objectives for HIV Treatment (Biktarvy and pipeline products)Lead end‑to‑end qualitative and quantitative market research among Patients, including objective setting, study design, vendor selection and oversight, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and storytellingDevelops relevant and compelling presentation of market research insights for key stakeholders, including brand leadership and senior managementKeep abreast of key market events and works to understand potential impactCollaborate with diverse counterparts (Commercial and Sales Analytics, Forecasting, Global, Managed Markets, Brand), to understand sales and market trends and, as appropriate, recommend corrective courses of action or additional marketBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and Twelve Years' ExperienceORMasters' Degree and Ten Years' ExperienceORPhD and Eight Years' ExperiencePreferred Qualifications:12+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred8+ years of experience in market research, marketing sciences, strategic consulting, or related roles within the biotech or pharmaceutical industryExperience in rare disease markets is a plus, but not requiredSignificant experience conducting quantitative and qualitative primary and secondary market research is required.In-depth experience designing and conducting quantitative and qualitative primary and secondary market research. Demonstrated ability to ramp quickly and acquire in-depth knowledge and experience in a competitive marketDemonstrated ability to apply market research as a strategic advantage to inform commercial decision‑making across in‑line brands and launches, particularly in ambiguous or evolving market environmentsStrong data analytical, interpretive, and storytelling skills. Ability to meaningfully portray and effectively communicate complex data in an easy-to-understand formatStrong interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, influence others, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
