Job Cost Accountant

The Role As a Job Cost Accountant at TSS Civil, LLC, you will be responsible for tracking and analyzing project costs, ensuring that financial data is accurate and up-to-date. You will collaborate closely with project managers to provide insights that help in decision-making and enhance project profitability.What You'll Do - Track and analyze project costs to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgets.- Prepare job cost reports and financial statements for project managers and stakeholders.- Collaborate with project teams to gather data and provide financial insights.- Monitor and report on variances between budgeted and actual costs.- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts.- Ensure timely and accurate billing and invoicing for projects.- Maintain financial records and documentation for audit purposes.What We're Looking For - Proven experience in job cost accounting or a similar financial role.- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.Nice to Have - Experience in the construction or civil engineering industry.- Knowledge of job cost accounting principles.- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulations.- Quickbooks Online experience
