We offer a dynamic and stimulating work culture, as employees are part of a greater team and purpose that collaborates with different departments, brands and business units.JOB SUMMARYThe Manager, Human Resources operates as the full-service HR generalist and sole on-site HR representative for the Shiseido Americas Distribution Center (DC) in Groveport, Ohio. Supporting approximately 200 employees across three shifts and five operating days per week, the Manager provides hands-on support across the employee life cycle, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, engagement, mobility, compliance, leave administration, and offboarding. The Manager partners closely with site leadership and the HR Centers of Excellence, including Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, and Learning, to deliver timely solutions and consistent employee experience. This role reports to the Director, Human Resources, located at the regional headquarters in New York.WHAT YOU WILL DOYou will serve as the first point of contact for approximately 200 employees across three shifts, providing timely, practical guidance on workplace questions, policies, benefits, attendance, leaves, employee relations, and other day-to-day HR matters.You will partner with distribution center leaders, managers, and supervisors to foster a people-first culture, strengthen communication, anticipate workforce needs, and resolve employee and operational issues promptly and consistently across all shifts.You will work in close collaboration with the Director, Human Resources on day-to-day site priorities, projects, employee relations issues and engagement initiatives aligned to global and regional HR and supply network objectives.You will maintain a regular on-site presence five days per week, adjusting your schedule as business and employee needs require across any shift to ensure accessible HR support throughout the operation.You will support full-cycle recruiting for hourly roles and select professional positions, including sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting offer and pre-employment screening processes.You will partner with managers and supervisors on employee relations, performance management, coaching, corrective action, time and attendance, workforce scheduling, safety, workers’ compensation, accommodations, and leave administration, ensuring timely follow-through and consistent application of policies and practices.You will conduct prompt, objective workplace investigations; assess risk and available options; document findings; and recommend practical, consistent resolutions to employee concerns, complaints, and policy violations.You will facilitate onboarding, including New Hire Orientation, completion of required paperwork (including drug testing and I-9), and 30-60-90-day check-ins.You will support the Corporate Talent Acquisition team with onboarding and executing key activities related to the Hajimari Summer Internship Program.You will promote a value-enhancing culture and actively support building Engagement action plans and their execution and measure.You will collaborate with the facility managers, supervisors and employees on supply chain process improvement initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma.You will update and monitor HR dashboards to deliver real-time workforce analytics and insights.You will assist with implementing corporate compliance requirements and local HR policies and procedures.You will maintain awareness of employment law developments and changes in applicable regulations. You will complete other duties and special projects as assigned.WHO YOU AREYou have a college degree or the required work experience, and a Human Resources certification (e.g., SHRM). Lean Six Sigma certification is desired but not required.You have HR generalist experience supporting an hourly employee population in a distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing or logistics environment. You are comfortable independently managing competing priorities and providing hands-on support across the full employee life cycle.Work 5 Days a Week on-site. You possess impeccable integrity, transparency, and willingness to both give and receive candid feedback are vital for enhancing leadership capabilities and driving business performance.You have strong interpersonal, communications listening and consultative skills (verbal and written).You can manage multiple work streams simultaneously, balancing day-to-day priorities with longer-term initiatives in a fast-paced environment.You can work flexible on-site schedule to build relationships and provide HR support across three shifts, including occasional early morning, evening or off-hours coverage based on business needs. You have strong business acumen and ability to understand business issues and implications is a must.You have strong analytics and problem-solving skills.You can interact efficiently across all organizational levels.You have proficiency in the MS Office Suite is expected, with advanced capability in Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in TEAMS is highly valued.You have experience utilizing Success Factors or comparable HRIS platforms for transaction processing and data management is required.If this sounds like you, we want you on our team. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience.
