Art Instructor for K-8
Woodland Park Academy is seeking a full-time Art Instructor for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The position reports to the Academy Director and requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited university, a valid teaching certificate from the state of Michigan, and endorsement in Arts Instruction. The candidate should possess leadership skills in educational planning, the ability to organize and administer class lesson plans, and the capacity to promote effective relationships with students, staff, and the community. The role also involves functioning effectively in a management team and understanding the growth and maturation patterns of school students. Effective communication skills in speaking and writing are essential. The position is subject to a criminal records check as required by the Board of Directors' policy.
The purpose of this position is to meet the art educational needs of students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Benefits include a starting annual salary of $40,000+, 10 days PTO, MPSERS pension plan, health care/dental/vision, life insurance policy equal to $30,000, and short-term and long-term disability coverage.
