Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12 Hours | 36 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend
Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes

Pay Rate
Local: $42 – $44/hr
Traveler: $48 – $50/hr

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced LPN to provide nursing and clinical support in an Emergency Department/acute care setting during the night shift.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience.

• ED experience required.

• Current New York State LPN license.

• CPR certification or ability to obtain/re-certify.

• IV insertion experience.

• Phlebotomy experience.

• Prior inpatient experience preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Electronic Medical Records experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in an acute-care setting with minimal orientation and supervision.

• Greet patients and direct them to examination rooms.

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians with patient care.

• Obtain and document vital signs and monitor patient progress.

• Set up trays for injections and assist with injections and other procedures.

• Assist with Paps and other clinical procedures.

• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy.

• Implement nursing care activities under the direction of the primary or associate nurse according to the nursing care plan.

• Observe and report patient responses to treatments.

• Maintain examination rooms and clinical areas.

• Assist with general office duties, appointment scheduling, filing, and chart preparation.

• Obtain insurance authorizations and coordinate referrals as needed.

• Participate in nursing unit management activities.
