Teacher - Student Success Support/Advocate (Battle High School), 2026-27 Student Success Support / Advocate Purpose This position will provide daily support as a student success advocate to school staff to assure that effective and efficient behavioral support systems are in place for continuous improvement to ensure maximum social and academic success. Essential Responsibilities Collaborate with administration and staff to identify students/classes with behavioral concerns, develop and implement behavior plans, and create data collection systems. Provide direct support to staff in assessing, planning, and developing individual student behavior support plans for tier 1 and 2 students. Model behavior intervention strategies in classrooms for staff members and students. Provide support and leadership in communication with students, parents, and representatives of the building support system. Collaborate with administration and staff on building-level support teams. Partner with parents and communicate as needed. Assist with student discipline and obtain certification to utilize Safe Crisis Management Interventions. Use data to develop small group behavior interventions with building personnel. Identify needs and provide professional development for school personnel as necessary. Adhere to Board policies and procedures. (Reference: Reporting Relationships Reports to: Building Principal Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in any related field and successful completion of Missouri Substitute Teaching Certification. Must be able to complete Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training upon employment. Preferred: Teacher certificate or Counselor/Social Work licensing with experience in classroom management and behavior intervention, experience in a school setting with students with behavior needs, and prior experience with students with emotional and/or mental health needs. Ideal candidate has a professional and friendly demeanor, extensive knowledge of behavioral intervention and data collection, and works well with diverse individuals in a fast-paced environment.
