Rehabilitation Unit Secretary
The rehabilitation unit secretary is an important team member in the success of the rehabilitation program. The secretary functions as a coordinator of activities related to patient care needs and is vital to the functioning of the unit as a point person of communication to health care professionals and families on the nursing unit.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrates proficiency at reading, speaking, writing and understanding English.
- Bilingual abilities are preferred.
- CPR/AED is required. Applicants with current BLS may be hired, but must obtain AHA CPR/AED within thirty days of employment.
- High school graduate or equivalency.
- One-year experience in rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Possesses strong organizational skills and puts attention to detail.
- Demonstrates initial and ongoing competence in performing tasks for care.
- Demonstrates ability to type at least 30 words per minute.
- Possesses good interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective working relationships with patients, families, co-workers.
- Capable of safely performing the essential functions for the position.
The range for this position is $21.00-$22.50/hr.
