Cornerstone Church is a vibrant, multiethnic and multigenerational congregation that was founded in December of 1951.  As a part of the Southern Baptist Convention, our primary objective as a church is to make disciples of Jesus who worship, grow, and go.  We believe that true worship begins at salvation, and that all of life is meant for worship. 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position would be one that is willing to make Cornerstone their church home.  They would be a team player, personable, of high character, have a great work ethic, and understand the value of community and the importance of corporate worship.  

About Cornerstone Worship

God has continued to grow and develop the worship ministry of Cornerstone.  We sing theologically rich music of all genre’s, understanding that our worship isn’t about personal preference, but proclaiming the glory of our great God. 

Time Required

This job will average approximately 10-12 hours per week and will include several “extra” services during the year including but not limited to Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Funerals, Weddings, etc.  

Primary Responsibilities

– Assist the Pastor in planning of weekly worship services. 
– Seek to offer a variety in worship opportunities and experiences for the congregation that compliments and reinforces                       the pastor’s message. 
– Lead the music portion of the worship gathering each week.
– Recruit and equip musicians and vocalists for Sunday worship as well as special worship opportunities.
– Work with the Pastor and Finance Team to develop an annual music budget.
– Supervise all music expenditures within the music budget.
– Continue to implement and be adept at using IEMs as well as Click/Tracks.  Must be familiar with Playback, Prime, Ableton, Logic, Pro Tools, ProPresenter 7 and able to utilize those for multitrack playback/recording.
– Coordinate joint services throughout the year with Cornerstone Espanol. 
– Any other duties as seen necessary by the Pastor.
