Work assignments may be during any scheduled hours and at any sites where Dungarvin provides services. The DSP Float provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect. What You Get to Do Provide hands‑on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance. Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve. Assist with daily living tasks such as moving, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more. Perform light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation. Build relationships with persons served and teammates. Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events. Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home. Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest. Document progress, milestones, and action steps. Qualifications At least 2 years of prior experience working with individuals with disabilities. Person‑centered, patient, and kind. Dependable, adaptable, flexible. Observant and detail oriented. Positive role‑model for others and able to work on a team. Committed to creating a respectful and collaborative environment. Computer skills for documentation. 18 years or older. Successful clearance of a criminal background check for licensing requirement. Good communication – reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members.
