Strategic Sourcing Manager Chicago, IL 62701 JLL invites outstanding professionals to join our team as a Strategic Sourcing Manager. In this role, you will lead procurement initiatives that drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and support organizational goals. Position Overview The Sourcing Manager develops and executes strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize costs, improve supplier performance, and ensure reliable delivery of goods and services. Responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, leading competitive bidding processes, negotiating contracts, and driving continuous improvement in procurement operations. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement category‑specific sourcing strategies aligned with business needs and budget objectives. Identify cost savings opportunities through market analysis, supplier consolidation, and process improvements. Conduct comprehensive supplier evaluations and competitive bid processes, including RFx (RFP, RFQ, RFI) development and management. Negotiate terms, pricing, and service level agreements with suppliers to achieve optimal value and risk mitigation. Manage supplier relationships across the contract lifecycle, monitoring performance against KPIs and addressing performance issues. Collaborate with internal stakeholders—operations, finance, legal, and business unit leaders—to align procurement activities with organizational goals. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contract terms, and applicable regulations while maintaining appropriate documentation and audit trails. Analyze spend data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks; lead cross‑functional sourcing teams for complex initiatives. Develop supplier scorecards and performance metrics; stay current on market conditions, pricing trends, and industry best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, finance, or related field. 5–7 years of progressive procurement or sourcing experience, preferably in facilities management, real estate, professional services, or related industries. Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated success achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms. Proven experience managing strategic supplier relationships and conducting competitive sourcing processes. Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in spend analysis and data‑driven decision making. Strong project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives. Proficiency with procurement systems, contract management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills; understanding of contract law, risk management, and procurement best practices. Preferred Qualifications Professional certifications such as CPM, CPSM, or CSCP. Experience with e‑procurement platforms and sourcing tools; knowledge of sustainability and responsible sourcing practices. Experience in global or multi‑regional sourcing environments and familiarity with facilities management, real estate services, or corporate services procurement. Estimated compensation for this position: 95,000 – 140,000 USD per year.
