Position Description
This position will require a background check, MVR, and physical/drug screening. The Designated Operator will be responsible for scheduling and conducting inspections for a portfolio of mandated 30-day Underground Storage Tank (UST) inspections. Must follow Designated UST Operator procedures and perform all duties of the Designated UST Operator on behalf of the client. A TAIT service vehicle will be provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Schedule site visits and travel to 50+ UST facilities per month using a personal or company vehicle.
• Complete monthly UST inspection checklists accurately and submit them on time.
• Enter and submit inspection data using company laptops and web-based systems.
• Train facility personnel and clearly explain inspection observations.
• Immediately report noncompliance risks and follow all company safety procedures.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• Current or previous ICC Designated UST Operator certification and related experience.
• Knowledge of UST systems and applicable operating regulations.
• Proficiency with computers, email, Microsoft programs, and web-based applications.
• Ability to review reports, conduct training, and communicate professionally with clients.
• Valid driver's license with strong organization, scheduling, and independent-work skills.

Physical and Additional Requirements

• Complete background check, MVR, physical examination and drug screening.
• Ability to drive extensively, occasionally up to 1,000 miles per week.
• Ability to safely walk across dirt, asphalt, cement, and other uneven surfaces.
• Ability to speak clearly and professionally when communicating with clients.
• Ability to read and interpret inspection and equipment diagnostic reports.

Salary and Benefits
Salary range for position: $22/hr. -$28/hr.
