Coding Specialist- Medical Records

The Coding Specialist position is responsible for coding and abstracting of medical records. Other duties as assigned. Education High School Diploma/GED required. Additional Education Requirements Education and credentials as a Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Coding Specialists, Certified Procedural Coder with proven experience as a qualified Coder. Additional Certification Details Education and credentials as Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, and/or Certified Coding Specialist, with proven experience as a qualified coder. Associate's or Bachelor's level of education in related health field preferred. Experience Minimum of one year of coding inpatient, observation or day surgeries with an accuracy rate of 95% or above and productivity standards based on record type. Understanding of ICD-10 CM/PCS, CPT coding and drg assignment. Demonstrates excellent understanding of ICD-10-CM /PCS and CPT-4 coding functions, billing requirements and coding compliance. Knowledge of general office procedures, proficient keyboard and computer skills, knowledge of general office equipment and procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr DaMar Staffing
