Details Med/Surg-Oncology unit in a hospital setting Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hrs/week Every third weekend required No on-call requirements May float within the same discipline across local campuses Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active IA state RN license or compact license required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (NIHSS may be obtained during onboarding) 2 years of Med/Surg and/or Oncology nursing experience required Experience administering Heparin, PCA, and epidural drips required Chemotherapy certification and administration experience preferred Travel nursing experience preferred High acuity care experience preferred Valid driver's license required for consideration Skills checklist completed within 1 year required for consideration One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required for consideration Additional Information Provide professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team for Med/Surg-Oncology patients Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving) Limited to 1 day off request during peak holiday blackout periods Candidates employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for submission First-time travelers may be considered American Traveler Job ID P-749962.
