Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand students' emotional and behavioral concerns, developing individualized treatment plans that promote their growth and success.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the specific needs of the student population.

• Create and maintain detailed clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, in compliance with departmental policies and regulations.

• Collaborate effectively with teachers, school administrators, and external mental health providers to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to student care.

• Offer crisis intervention services and support for students experiencing acute mental health episodes, working to stabilize their situation and ensure safety.

• Assist with discharge planning for students transitioning out of therapy, coordinating with families and other providers to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position predominantly serves children and adolescents facing mental health challenges in a school environment. You will work with a diverse group of students who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, trauma, and other psychological diagnoses. Your role will be instrumental in fostering a supportive environment that encourages students to express their feelings, learn coping strategies, and navigate their emotional landscapes effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent is required.

• At least 2 years of full-time experience providing mental health services, preferably within a school system or similar environment.

• Strong ability to work independently while remaining self-directed and highly organized.

• Proficient in technology use, including familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and MS Office applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working within a school setting and familiarity with educational systems and child development theories will be considered a strong asset. Knowledge of local resources for mental health services and other supportive services for families in Philadelphia is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
