Job Description Our In Vivo Pharmacology group in South San Francisco, CA has an opening for a motivated in vivo pharmacologist who is dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative cancer therapeutics. The scientist will execute in vivo efficacy and PK/PD studies to support novel cancer drug development programs in mouse tumor models. The scientist will work collaboratively in a project team setting with biology, medicinal chemistry, biologics, and DMPK scientists to advance oncology programs through the R&D pipeline. Responsibilities Execute and optimize efficacy/PK/PD studies utilizing human CDX and PDX tumor models in immunocompromised mice. Understand study designs and work toward independent study design planning for assigned/owned projects. Analyze data and present efficacy/PD results to project teams and stakeholders. Work closely with and support other pharmacology team members for in vivo studies across team projects. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education with typically 5 years of experience, or Master’s degree or equivalent education with typically 2 years of experience. Preference for candidates with a degree in in vivo pharmacology and experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech industry setting. Proficient hands‑on experience with in vivo tumor model study techniques, including anesthetization, biological sample collection (tumor, tissue, and blood sampling), cell/drug administration via different routes/sites (SC, IP, PO, IV), and tumor volume measurement. Strong attention to detail with excellent laboratory, record‑keeping, data analysis, and organizational skills. Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with graphing software (e.g., GraphPad Prism) and animal study workflow software (e.g., Studylog) is a plus. Knowledgeable of human cancer cell line models and workflows preceding in vivo study execution. Proactive and flexible, with ability to manage multiple projects/studies at any given time, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to a variety of audiences. Excellent team player with ability to work and build strong relationships with peers and cross‑functional team members.
