INFECTIOUS DISEASE OFFICER
U.S. Army 2nd Medical Recruiting Battalion
Position Infectious Disease Officer, U.S. Army Medical Corps Overview Bring your greatest skills to the greater good. Enhance your medical career while helping to improve the health and well‑being of our Soldiers. As an infectious disease officer in Army Medicine, you will study the causes, effects, and patterns of infectious diseases, including biological warfare threats. Through research you may work with other medical professionals to confirm, diagnose, treat, and control the transmission of infectious diseases within the military and the communities you support. You may also participate in humanitarian missions to address the spread of infectious diseases and find new ways to prevent them. If you choose to serve in the Army Reserve, you will be able to serve your country when called upon while continuing to support your community. Whether you serve in the Regular Army or Army Reserve, your work will greatly impact the lives of Soldiers, retirees, and their families.
