Registered Nurse - CVICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized care to cardiac ICU patients, ensuring optimal recovery and stability. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient-centered services during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess critically ill cardiac patients to identify changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments using advanced equipment such as Edward Life Science CCO, Tablo, Autocat II, and Impella.
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized cardiovascular devices to support patient treatment plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in compliance with healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and modify care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatments and post-discharge care instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with current certification.
• Demonstrate experience in critical care, specifically within a CVICU setting.
• Proficient in managing advanced cardiovascular equipment and technologies.
• Possess knowledge of ICU protocols, emergency procedures, and patient safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and self-schedule within the outlined shift requirements.
