Medical Front Desk Receptionist
South Tampa Immediate Care – Tampa, FL
South Tampa Immediate Care is looking for a dependable, friendly, and organized Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team.
This is a fast-paced urgent care environment, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable multitasking, communicating with patients, and keeping the front office running smoothly.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Alternating weekends required
- Weekday and weekend availability
- Must be reliable and flexible with scheduling
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients
- Verify insurance and patient demographics
- Collect copays and patient balances
- Answer phones and assist with patient questions
- Schedule and manage patient flow
- Scan and maintain patient documents
- Communicate with clinical staff regarding patient needs
- Assist with medical records and other front-office responsibilities
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a busy medical environment
- Previous medical front desk or healthcare experience preferred
- Experience with insurance verification and medical terminology is a plus
- Experience with Experity is a plus
