Information Technology Adjunct (Summer and Fall 2026)

Job Summary Information Technology Adjunct (Summer and Fall 2026) – Part‑time faculty teaching up to 12 credit hours in Fall/Spring semesters and up to 8 credit hours during summer session. Courses are delivered both in‑person and online. Duties and Tasks Teach specific classes in the Information Technology discipline. Develop course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials. Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress. Adhere to the policies, procedures, and regulations of Germanna Community College and the Virginia Community College System. Maintain current competence in the discipline or field of specialization. Essential Functions Meet assigned classes regularly; submit required records and reports; teach the prescribed courses of study; and adhere to the statement on professional ethics in accordance with college policies, procedures, and regulations. Required Qualifications Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in Information Technology. Ability to effectively teach in both classroom and online settings. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to use instructional technology. Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools. Additional Considerations Prior teaching experience. Work experience in the field. Experience with online teaching. Substantial, proven experience with innovative teaching and developing online courses in both synchronous and asynchronous learning environments at a regionally accredited institution.
