Senior Sales Executive - Higher Education (Hybrid, Remote for Exceptional Candidates)

Position Summary :

We’re seeking a Senior Sales Executive with proven success selling into higher education with strong B2B sales experience and transferable success in complex, consultative sales. The role is hybrid (office + field travel) with flexibility to be fully remote for candidates with exceptional higher-ed network and track record.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, solution design, proposals, negotiation, and close.
• Develop and execute territory and account plans targeting public/private colleges, universities, and system offices.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships (Provosts, CIOs, VPs of Student Success/Enrollment, Deans).
• Translate institutional needs into compelling value propositions and ROI-driven business cases.
• Coordinate internal resources (product, implementation, customer success) to craft tailored proposals and pilots.
• Lead demos, presentations, and RFP responses; represent GoEdmo at conferences and industry events.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasting; meet or exceed quarterly and annual quota.
• Capture customer feedback to inform product roadmap and marketing strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of B2B sales experience with at least 3–5 years selling to higher education institutions (preferably SaaS, edtech, analytics, or enterprise software).
• Demonstrated ability to close mid- to enterprise-level deals and manage long sales cycles.
• Strong relationships and credibility with higher-ed decision-makers and influencers.
• Excellent consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Track record of meeting/exceeding quota and producing accurate sales forecasts.
• Comfortable with travel to campus sites and industry events.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience selling student success, retention, enrollment management, learning analytics, or enterprise administrative solutions.
• Familiarity with procurement and contracting processes common to higher education (RFPs, state purchasing, consortia).
• Prior experience working with customer success and implementation teams to scale deployments.
• Advanced degree or relevant network in higher education administration is a plus.

Location & Work Arrangement:

• Hybrid position: expected in-office presence (region/office) plus campus travel for meetings and demos.
