Construction Project Coordinator – Permitting

Miami, FL 33138 | Full-Time | On-Site

An established Florida General Contractor with more than 30 years of experience is hiring a Project & Permit Coordinator to support permitting, project documentation, and daily coordination for high-rise restoration and building-envelope projects.

We are seeking an organized, proactive coordinator who can manage multiple projects and deadlines while following up with project managers, clients, engineers, municipalities, and other involved parties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and track permit applications and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with municipalities regarding permits, plan reviews, corrections, approvals, and inspections.
• Maintain permit logs, project files, contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reports.
• Track deadlines, inspections, outstanding items, and required follow-ups.
• Coordinate communication between the office, project managers, clients, engineers, subcontractors, and municipalities.
• Prepare meeting minutes, progress updates, schedules, and correspondence.
• Assist with procurement tracking, project closeout documents, and compliance records.
• Keep project information accurate, organized, and current.

Qualifications

• Administrative or project coordination experience preferred.
• Construction, permitting, property management, engineering, architecture, or related industry experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proactive follow-up and professional communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic document management.
• Experience with Procore, Fieldwire, Monday.com, or similar software is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction documents, terminology, or permitting processes is a plus.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Miami, Florida.
