Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist - $2,638 per week

Travel Physical Therapist – Tawas City, Michigan Job Description: This position is responsible for patient-focused activities that include assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with physical therapy standards, physician orders, and governing policies and procedures. The Physical Therapist delegates responsibilities to the Physical Therapist Assistant and Aides. Assignment Duration: 13 weeks. Schedule: 8am-5:30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-12pm Friday (40 hours per week). Responsibilities Evaluates the patient's function by performing formal and informal testing measures to determine skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status. Develops a goal‑specific treatment regime based on assessment data and the patient’s tolerance. Submits a written treatment regime to be included as part of the plan of care authorized by and coordinated with the physician, updating the plan of care as needed. Devises a schedule of treatment, which is frequency and duration specific, to be discussed with the patient, family, and caregiver while coordinating with clinical support staff. Educates the patient, family, and/or caregiver regarding pathology or condition, patient alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment.
