Un Je Ne Sais Quoi is a bakery dedicated to crafting exquisite pastries with an authentic touch of French savoir-faire. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Pastry Assistant to join our team.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Pastry Assistant who is eager to learn and assist in the daily production of our pastries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a passion for baking, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to refine their pastry skills while working with a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards.
- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients under the guidance of the Lead Pastry Chef.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of ingredients and finished products.
- Help with decorating and finishing pastries with precision and creativity.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a high standard of quality.
- Support the team in restocking and inventory management as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and pastry production.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and take direction from senior chefs.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality pastries.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
The start date for this position will be Monday, June 29th
