[Required]Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows-based programs. [Required]Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills). [Required]Equipment use to stabilize and monitor patients (IV insertion, central lines, pulse ox, NG tubes, Foley, chest tubes, hemodynamics monitoring), including electronic medical record and automated dispensing medication system (pyxis). [Required]Proficient clinical skills, critical thinking skills, and strong communication skills. [Required]Commitment to hourly patient rounding and EKG interpretation class. [Required]Frequent independent judgment, sound professional judgment and critical-thinking skills in clinical situations, including clinical assessment, data, and patient response. [Required]Ability to continuously prioritize multiple duties and function in a calm and professional manner during stressful situations. [Required]General knowledge of professional nursing principles and techniques, and the pharmacological process in the appropriate administration or delivery of medications. [Required]Skill to maintain effective working relationships with health professionals and others to create an environment conducive to carrying out the mission of the facility. [Required]Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively to direct the overall professional nursing services in a manner which encourages the open exchange of ideas and information.
