Travel Physical Therapist, Outpatient Orthopedics - $1,973 per week

Overview Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist position in Metairie, Louisiana. The assignment starts on May 26 2026 and runs for approximately 13 weeks, with 8‑hour days and a 40‑hour work week. Responsibilities Provide outpatient orthopedics physical therapy services to patients recovering from injuries and managing chronic conditions. Maintain a productivity level of about 60 visits per week, with a typical daily volume of 12–14 patients and follow‑up double‑booking. Prepare and submit all required clinical documentation and billing for the assignment. Coordinate overtime with the clinic director and work up to 40 hours per week when needed. Participate in the travel team within this or a neighboring clinic, if desired. Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA. Active Louisiana Physical Therapist license. BLS certification from the AHA or ARC (may be required). Previous travel assignment experience; this position is not open to first‑time travelers. Experience in outpatient orthopedics is preferred; new graduates and PT assistants will not be considered. Assignment Details Facility type: outpatient clinic. Shift: days; 8‑hour distribution with a 36‑hour guaranteed load and the possibility of up to 40 hours. Start date: late May (May 26 2026); hard end date in August.
