Legal Counsel (US) - Legal Services Company

Representing a global regulatory technology and legal information services business, we are proud to be leading the search for a Legal Counsel (US). This role will support commercial contracting, regulatory matters, and strategic business initiatives across a growing technology-led organization. This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to influence legal operations, support business growth, and partner closely with commercial and product teams. As the Legal Counsel (US), you will be responsible for: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, licensing, confidentiality, and partnership contracts. Managing the end-to-end contracting process and helping to enhance templates, playbooks, and workflow processes. Advising stakeholders on commercial, technology, data privacy, and regulatory matters in a practical and business-focused manner. Supporting client due diligence processes, including AI-related diligence and privacy compliance matters. Conducting legal research and preparing analyses to support the legal team and executive leadership. Monitoring legal and regulatory developments relevant to technology, data, and financial services. Assisting with corporate, governance, and transactional matters in partnership with senior colleagues and external counsel. To be successful in this role our client is looking for a: Barred attorney admitted to practice in the United States. Preference for candidates in New York/New Jersey or Chicago Attorney with approximately 0 to 2 years of post-bar experience, although more experienced candidates seeking a flexible or part-time arrangement will also be considered. Professional with experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. Candidate with exposure to technology, SaaS, software licensing, subscription models, or related commercial transactions. Individual with strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly. Lawyer with a pragmatic commercial mindset and a collaborative approach to supporting business stakeholders. Experience in financial services, banking, data privacy, or related regulatory environments is advantageous. Self-motivated professional comfortable working autonomously within a fully remote and flexible environment.
