CAD Designer

Seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer for a contract‑to‑hire opportunity working at our client location in Coldwater, Michigan who specializes in the design and manufacturing of ramp systems. This role is responsible for creating accurate, production‑ready drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, supporting both custom and standard ramp designs for residential and commercial applications. Salary range $46k-$50K. Hours will be M‑F, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Key Responsibilities Design wheelchair ramps, platforms, and stairs using CAD Produce detailed shop drawings, layouts, and installation plans Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production to ensure accuracy and feasibility Revise designs based on site conditions, client needs, and code requirements Translate field measurements, photos, and specs into precise drawings Ensure compliance with ADA and local building codes Maintain organized drawing files and documentation Coordinate with subcontractors and building departments for permits Qualifications One year of experience required, schooling can be considered Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (required) Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and materials Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Skills Knowledge of ADA accessibility guidelines Experience in structural, construction, or ramp system design preferred Experience with custom fabrication or modular systems Familiarity with manufacturing processes Experience in Leadership Trillium has been recruiting and placing professionals for over 30 years.
