Make an immediate impact working in an engaging elementary environment supporting K-2 students as a paraprofessional. This full-time contract opportunity near Denver, CO, offers you the chance to collaborate closely with passionate educators and play a key role in helping children achieve their academic and social goals.
Your ability to connect with young learners—together with your commitment to fostering a positive, structured classroom—will make a genuine difference for students with a variety of behavioral and educational needs. Experience with mild, moderate, and severe behaviors, including strategies to support students who may elope, will be highly valued in this role.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or working with elementary-aged children in a school setting
- Comfortable supporting K-2 classrooms with a range of student needs
- Strong understanding of positive behavioral supports and intervention strategies
- Ability to stay calm and consistent when responding to eloping or challenging behaviors
- Collaborative attitude with teachers, therapists, and school social workers
- Flexibility, patience, and a genuine desire to help students thrive
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of classroom activities, lesson plans, and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Support students one-on-one or in small groups with their learning, social, and behavioral goals
- Monitor for safety, especially with students prone to eloping, and intervene as needed
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment to support both academic and emotional growth
- Communicate effectively with staff to ensure all students’ needs are being met
This assignment is full-time at 37.5 hours per week, providing meaningful work each day in a supportive school community.
