Automotive Mechanic Location: Gainesville, TX About the Position As a trusted Automotive Mechanic at Mavis, you will inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. Duties include undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks; completing state‑mandated inspections; changing oil and filters; checking fluids; replacing worn parts; and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires. Qualifications Minimum 18 years of age. Legally authorized to work in the United States. At least 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties. Extensive personal tool kit for performing undercar repairs. Preferred: state inspection license(s). Preferred: ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5). Physical Demands Mechanical duties require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and performing repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair.
