We're looking for full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Gainesville, TX area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States. About the Position of Automotive Mechanic Our Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. They perform undercar repairs—including brakes, struts, and shocks—complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires. Qualifications Required Qualifications At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Exactly 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or equivalent education, training, and experience that demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities Extensive personal tool set used in performing undercar repairs Preferred Qualifications State inspection license(s) ASE Certifications: Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5) Physical Demands Automotive mechanics must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair.
