Billing Specialist

Summary The Billing Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing operations. This position is responsible for analyzing billing data, managing purchase orders and client portals, and leading the invoice process. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable working cross‑functionally to support financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Monitors discrepancies and implements process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy. This position will support our Finance team and is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in‑office and/or show‑site 2‑3 days per week. The role is based in North Dallas office, Dallas, TX. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensures timely, accurate and complete billing of various lines of business, including invoicing complexities from systems and departments. Performs billing and variance analysis timely and provides results to internal customers. Resolves invoicing discrepancies and implements improvements to enhance billing processes. Collaborates with IT or finance teams to implement system changes. Manages the final invoicing process by reviewing and validating billing data for accuracy and completeness, ensuring alignment with client contracts and internal policies. Oversees the management of purchase orders, including tracking and reconciliation. Maintains and navigates client portals to ensure accurate documentation and billing alignment. Collaborates with internal and external customers to resolve PO‑related issues and ensure timely processing. Provides support for special projects and initiatives related to billing and revenue operations. Works closely with Project and Finance Accountants to align billing activities with project milestones, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely revenue recognition. Adapts to evolving business needs by taking on additional responsibilities and projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting departmental goals. Demonstrates a collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Works with Accounts Receivable to reconcile client accounts and ensure timely application of payments and billing adjustments. Education & Experience 3–5 years of previous billing and reporting experience. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year college or university preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced knowledge of Excel. SAP experience preferred. NetSuite experience preferred. Ad‑hoc reporting experience.
