We are hiring for an Instructional System Designer to work with our client in the healthcare systems

The Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating engaging learning solutions that improve employee performance and organizational effectiveness. Working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, the ISD applies adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create instructor-led, virtual, blended, and eLearning programs.

The ideal candidate has experience conducting needs assessments, developing curriculum, creating multimedia learning content, and measuring training effectiveness while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and training needs to identify learning objectives and performance gaps.
  • Design and develop instructional materials for instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), eLearning, microlearning, and blended learning programs.
  • Apply instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, and adult learning theory to develop effective learning solutions.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical content and translate complex information into engaging learning experiences.
  • Create storyboards, facilitator guides, participant guides, job aids, assessments, simulations, and multimedia learning assets.
  • Develop interactive eLearning courses using industry-standard authoring tools.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, learner feedback, and performance metrics, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Ensure all training materials are current, accurate, accessible, and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of learning content within the organization's Learning Management System (LMS).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or corporate training.
  • Experience designing instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning training programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, government, technology, retail, manufacturing, or corporate learning environments.
  • Experience developing competency-based learning programs and performance support tools.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (Section 508 and WCAG).
  • Experience with learning analytics and evaluation methodologies.

Work Environment

This position may be performed in a remote, hybrid, or on-site environment. The Instructional Systems Designer must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, facilitate meetings with stakeholders, and manage multiple concurrent projects while delivering high-quality learning solutions within established timelines.
