Any medical problems experienced by the students while being transported, must be reported by the driver and/or special needs aide to the Director. Followed up with a written report. Complying with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) to assure student records, behavior and readership confidentiality Maintaining and updating student records on a timely basis Recognizing evidence of abuse and neglect Maintain confidentiality in all matters concerning student transportation To cooperate with supervisory staff Attend safety meetings and other training as necessary Other duties as assigned JOB TITLE Non-CDL Driver REPORTS TO Director of Transportation DEPT. /SCHOOL Transportation DUTY DAYS 172 WAGE/HOUR STATUS Non-Exempt DATE REVISED 2/18/2025 PRIMARY PURPOSE Support transportation operations by operating multi-purpose or white fleet vehicles to transport students and other authorized personnel to and from schools and homes inside and outside of the school district. MENTAL DEMANDS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS Posture: Frequent standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling and twisting; work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Motion: Frequent walking; frequent climbing, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension and overhead reaching; frequent driving. Lifting: Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis. Environment: Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust and noise.
