Pay: $28.00-$29.00/hour



Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday | 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM

Overview


Join a leading food manufacturing facility as a Production Planning Coordinator supporting overnight manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll coordinate production schedules, oversee manufacturing systems, support payroll and training activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Job Description

• Create and manage daily production schedules to meet customer demand and shipping deadlines.
• Coordinate manufacturing orders and optimize production changeovers.
• Maintain and validate production formulas, recipes, and manufacturing documentation across multiple systems.
• Review and verify production data for accuracy.
• Coordinate manufacturing improvement initiatives, Lean events, and transformation projects.
• Schedule and support employee training for safety, food safety, and manufacturing processes.
• Monitor compliance with production standards, GMPs, quality procedures, and safety requirements.
• Maintain Kronos timekeeping records and submit payroll information accurately.
• Create and adjust employee work schedules, including holiday coverage.
• Order manufacturing supplies and coordinate pan cleaning and maintenance schedules.
• Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement activities.
• Conduct Gemba walks, safety inspections, and operational audits.
• Assist Production Management with documentation and engineering change requests (ECOs).
• Generate reports and track manufacturing performance metrics.

Required Skills

• Previous manufacturing or production planning experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of production scheduling and manufacturing operations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
• Experience with Kronos, WINSPC, MIPS, or similar manufacturing systems is a plus.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Business or a related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of manufacturing or production experience required.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• AIB Certification is a plus.
