Staff Accountant/ Payroll Analyst Location: Boynton Beach, FL Salary Range: $56,000-$62,000 About the Opportunity A well-established public agency dedicated to supporting programs and initiatives that improve the health, education, safety, and overall well-being of children and families within the local community is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant/ Payroll Analyst to join the growing team. This role is responsible for processing payroll for approximately 100 employees on a semi-monthly basis while supporting a variety of accounting and accounts payable functions. Responsibilities Process semi-monthly payroll for approximately 100 employees, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. Manage payroll withholdings, deductions, garnishments, and benefit-related payroll transactions. Review and enter employee benefit invoices for payment and reconciliation. Perform accounts payable duties, including invoice processing and check runs. Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger. Perform bank, payroll, and general ledger account reconciliations. Assist with month-end close and other routine accounting activities. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Assist with other general accounting responsibilities and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 4-6+ years of payroll and general accounting experience preferred. Experience processing payroll for approximately 100 employees. Working knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
