Maintenance Technician
American Crane Inc
Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep our manufacturing operations running safely, reliably, and efficiently. This role is the backbone of our production environment. When a machine goes down, production stops. When equipment runs well, good product ships on time. The Maintenance Technician is the person who makes the difference between those two outcomes.
This is a hands-on, floor-level maintenance role in an active heavy manufacturing environment. ACECO builds electric overhead cranes, hoists, and heavy material handling equipment. Our production floor includes welding, machining, fabrication, assembly, painting, and testing operations. The equipment and facility systems that support all of that work need someone who can keep them running — and who can figure out what's wrong when they don't.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery, mechanical equipment, and facility systems. That means preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines. It means troubleshooting mechanical problems using precision measuring instruments, diagrams, manuals, and engineering specs. And it means routine building maintenance to keep the facility safe and operational.
You'll also operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment as part of the work. This role requires someone who is comfortable climbing ladders, working at heights, performing confined space entry, and lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Success requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to read drawings and blueprints, attention to detail, and the flexibility to shift priorities when equipment needs change — because in a manufacturing plant, they will.
Your Work Keeps Production Running. This isn't a role where your contribution is invisible. When equipment runs, product ships. Everyone on the floor knows who made that possible.
Variety Every Day. You'll work on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, production machines, facility systems, and material handling equipment. No two days look exactly the same.
A Real Manufacturing Environment. ACECO builds custom cranes and heavy material handling equipment. You'll maintain the machines that make real, tangible products.
A Business in Growth Mode. ACECO is continuing to invest in people, equipment, technology, capabilities, and operational scale. The work you do will support that growth directly.
Stability and Benefits. Competitive hourly rate, full benefits, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement. A place where showing up and doing good work is noticed and valued.
A Team That Has Your Back. You'll work alongside production teams, other maintenance personnel, and leadership who understand that keeping equipment running is what makes everything else possible.
This role requires full-time, on-site availability. Overtime is required based on the manufacturing plant schedule.
Candidates should be located within a reasonable daily commuting distance of:
531 Old Swede Road
Douglassville, PA 19518
If relocation is required, the selected candidate must relocate prior to starting. American Crane & Equipment Corporation does not provide relocation assistance.
At ACECO, this role offers the opportunity to keep a growing, privately held, custom-engineered manufacturing operation running at its best.
