About the Role

The Company is in search of a Legal Engineering Lead to join their Corporate Technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering delivery and operational ownership of legal and compliance technology solutions, ensuring they are scalable, resilient, secure, and audit-ready. This role involves serving as the technical lead for platform strategy, implementation, and support across various legal systems, and partnering with legal and key stakeholder groups to translate business needs into technical requirements. The Legal Engineering Lead will also be tasked with owning end-to-end delivery, establishing and maintaining integration patterns, and driving strong engineering discipline, including embedded controls across workflows. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' progressive technology experience, with a focus on legal systems and governance platforms in a complex, regulated financial services environment. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for a background in computer science or engineering. The role demands strong engineering fundamentals, hands-on delivery experience, and proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language. Experience in alternative asset management is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering secure, audit-ready solutions, leading small teams, and managing vendors or partners. The position requires a leader who can provide transparent, executive-ready reporting and is adept at fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
