Work Environment

You will work in a state-of-the-art hospital setting where teamwork and communication are key components of patient care. The facility is designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our patients, featuring modern therapy equipment and spacious treatment areas. The schedule for this position typically runs Monday through Friday with flexible hours from either 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to accommodate our patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:

• Assist in the implementation of personalized treatment plans developed by licensed physical therapists.
• Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patients.
• Monitor and document patient progress throughout rehabilitation sessions while providing timely updates to the therapy team.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, ensuring they understand their treatment protocols and exercises.
• Support administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient intake, contributing to a smooth office operation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on orthopedic patients, ranging from post-operative recovery to those requiring treatment for sports-related injuries. You will work with individuals at various stages of their rehabilitation journey, enabling you to directly contribute to their physical recovery and overall well-being.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or an equivalent field from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an outpatient or hospital rehabilitation setting.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and patient engagement.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or familiarity with evidence-based practices in physical therapy will be favored during the selection process. Additional training in specialized therapies or modalities will be considered a strong asset.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
