Social Media and Community Manager

Rubio Monocoat has a passionate community of flooring pros, woodworkers, makers and homeowners who love showing off what they build. We have a strong foundation across our social channels, and now we want to take it to the next level. We are hiring someone that will drive content that resonates and turns the community into one of the most engaged in the wood finishing world: more platforms, more live moments, and more of our customers and partners telling the story for us. Twelve months in, every channel will have a consistent cadence and engagement and followers trending up quarter over quarter. Comments and messages will be answered within a business day. The Affiliate and Ambassador program will be running smoothly with clear briefs and deliverables. Events and live streams will be on a calendar, promoted ahead and clipped after. About Rubio Monocoat Rubio Monocoat makes plant-based, single-coat wood finishes used by flooring contractors, furniture makers, architects and designers, and serious DIYers. The brand was founded in Belgium and the North American business runs from Spicewood, Texas, selling direct to consumers and through dealers, distributors and national retail partners across the US and Canada. The marketing team is small and growing, and this is one of several roles being added this year. How we work We are a small team that works closely, moves quickly and gives each other real ownership. Each person owns a lane and is trusted to bring the plan, not wait for a brief, and we back each other up when it counts. We are curious, we share what we learn, and we like improving how we work as much as the work itself. That includes being AI-forward: we use AI tools every day to work smarter and expect you to bring that same savvy. Spicewood is ideal, hybrid works if you can come in when needed, and we will consider remote for the right person. What you'll do Own the organic posting calendar and the content that fills it, across every channel, US and Canada, working with our media specialist and content contributor on what gets produced each month. Run community: comments, DMs, UGC, and getting customer questions and complaints to the people who can fix them. Run the Affiliate and Ambassador program: recruitment, briefs, deliverables, payments. Own the Ask an Expert content segment as a recurring property. Organize community events: build-offs, meetups and workshops, and host or coordinate live streams. Flag organic posts that outperform so the media buyer can test them as ads. What you'll bring Required: 3 to 5 years running social and community for a brand with an active community, where you owned the channels and can show the growth. Experience running an ambassador, affiliate or creator program. Experience organizing in-person events. Excellent copywriting and communication skills. Comfortable on camera or directing someone who is. Daily use of AI tools in your work, and the ability to show how. Preferred: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar. Background in maker, trades, home, DIY or building products. Live-stream hosting or production experience. Short-form video editing.
