Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Details: Job Location: Southside Market & BBQ - Elgin, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Accounting, Southside Market & BBQ is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented AP Specialist to join our growing accounting team. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounts payable across multiple entities Process vendor invoices accurately and timely in Ramp and NetSuite Maintain complete documentation and audit trails Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Manage company credit card activity Process checks and electronic payments Communicate professionally with vendors and internal teams Support month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations Review AP aging and resolve outstanding items Help improve AP processes, controls, and efficiencies Support additional accounting and ad-hoc department needs Qualifications High school diploma or GED 3–5+ years of AP or related accounting experience Experience supporting multiple entities or complex organizations Beginner to intermediate Excel skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Organized and consistent with financial documentation Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Additional accounting coursework or professional training NetSuite experience Ramp or corporate card platform experience Restaurant, retail, or multi-location experience Familiarity with accounting controls and best practices Full Time Benefits Tuition Reimbursement Program- up to 100% paid college tuition 25% Employee Discount on Restaurant food purchases, 10% Discount on Market and Merchandise items Shift meal discount of $8.75 per day 401K - Southside Market & Barbeque will match the team member contributions 100% (dollar-for-dollar) on your Salary Deferrals up to 3% of compensation; plus, a 50% matching contribution on any additional Salary Deferrals above 3% up to 5% of compensation.
