Tax Manager — Syracuse, NYPay: $120,000 - $140,000 + bonus potentialA well-respected regional CPA and advisory firm in Central New York is adding a Tax Manager to its team. This role offers a diverse client book, real leadership responsibility, and direct access to partners, without the bureaucracy of a large national firm.What You'll Do:Manage a portfolio of individual, partnership, S-corp, C-corp, and fiduciary engagements from planning through filingReview returns, workpapers, and projections prepared by staff and seniorsAdvise closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals on proactive tax planningResearch complex federal, state, and local tax issues and present clear recommendationsHandle IRS and state notices and represent clients as neededMentor, train, and develop staff and senior accountantsOversee engagement timelines, budgets, and client relationshipsWhat You Bring:Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation a plusActive CPA license (or EA with strong public accounting background)5+ years of public accounting tax experience, including review responsibilityStrong knowledge of individual and pass-through entity taxationExperience with CCH Axcess, UltraTax, or similar softwareExcellent communication and leadership skillsWhy Join:Competitive base salary plus bonus potentialComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with employer contributionGenerous paid time off and holidaysFlexible/hybrid schedulingCPE support and paid professional duesCollaborative team with visibility to leadership and a path to Senior ManagerInterested?
