Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview Lanier Home Restoration (LHR) is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Financial Controller Assistant to join our growing team. This position will work closely with our Financial Controller to assist with day-to-day accounting, invoicing, financial reporting, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with QuickBooks, invoicing, spreadsheets, and financial/accounting processes and is comfortable working with numbers and detailed financial information. Responsibilities Responsibilities Assist the Financial Controller with daily accounting and financial tasks Enter, review, and maintain financial information in QuickBooks Prepare and process customer invoices Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable Track outstanding invoices and assist with collectionsReconcile accounts and review transactions for accuracy Maintain organized financial records and documentation Create, update, and maintain Excel spreadsheets and financial reports Assist with monthly financial reporting and account reconciliations Review financial information for accuracy and identify discrepancies Assist with expense tracking and documentation Help maintain accurate customer and vendor records Assist with payroll-related financial information as needed Provide administrative support to the Financial Controller Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned Experience Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a similar position Experience using QuickBooks Experience with invoices and accounts receivable/payable Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets Comfortable working with financial statements, reports, and numerical information Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while also working closely with the Financial Controller Must be dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting a Controller, Accountant, or Finance Manager Experience with QuickBooks Online Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations Construction, restoration, contracting, or service-industry accounting experience We are looking for someone who is organized, accurate, dependable, and takes pride in their work. This person should enjoy working with numbers, be comfortable working in spreadsheets and accounting software, and can catch details that others may overlook.
