Adjunct Faculty Humanities (AF2205)

The First-Year Seminar Program at Mercy University seeks part-timeadjunct instructors to teach first-year seminars to incomingfreshmen. The First-Year Seminar is designed to acclimate studentsto college life. Instructors support students in navigating theirfirst semester by teaching essential skills for a successfulcollege career, introducing university resources, and encouragingstudents to think about their career pathways. The ideal candidate will be open to mentoring students, leading adiscussion-based seminar course, and contributing to acollaborative team of colleagues. Successful candidates may be offered the opportunity to teach up tothree sections. Familiarity with Mercy University is a plus.Candidates may also be asked to assist with program assessment anddevelopment and to attend select programmatic or professionaldevelopment meetings.
