Registered Nurse (RN)A dedicated and skilled RN is needed for a MedSurg/General Surgery unit. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients with varying conditions. The selected candidate will work on a 4x12-hour schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotation through weekends and holidays.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.Maintain patient safety and comfort while facilitating a positive experience.Coordinate with interdisciplinary support teams for efficient patient management.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Monitor and document patient progress using the electronic health record system (EPIC).Respond to patient needs and provide education on care plans.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a MedSurg or General Surgery setting is highly preferred.Current nursing license in South Carolina or a Multi-State/Compact RN license.BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.Experience with patient ratios of 1:6 (7 occasionally) is necessary.Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs when required.Additional InformationGuarantee hours with the possibility of cancellations based on unit needs.Holidays and weekend rotations are mandatory.Travelers must be prepared for emergency assignments during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.Free parking is available for all staff.Patient Care DetailsThe patient demographic includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with a daily census of around 35 patients.
